NEWS FROM BILL IN MONGOLIA

Nov 6, 2011

How does one measure success? With this report to you, brethren, I leave it in your hands to judge... I probably average three miles a day walking to meet my students engaged with the World English Institute.
My primary referrals for these Internet students come from brother Perry Taylor. Of the 25 referrals sent tome I've managed to contact 15 students for one-on-one meetings and studies. A few have been a one-time meeting. But several have turned out to be rewarding.

Since my last report I have taught 15 classes in spoken English for the Harvest Language Kingdom school. These are weekly classes and vary in attendance from two to six students. Several of these students
join me for Bible study on Saturday morning.

I still go to the little town of Zuunmod every other Sunday to teach at the little church of my friend Sendenpuren. It costs 4,000 tugrets (about $3.00) to go and return.

Each week I meet with four WEI students one-on-one. These meetings are to help them with their English and use the Bible as a reading text.

There have been no baptisms! My work here is more like breaking ground. Students are inconsistent in their attendance and those who feel they are Christian say they have already been baptized. Therefore, I do
not push the issue but, rather, work with fundamentals... Time is the key for the fruit of the sown seed.

Having said that, I am obliged to return home this month. There are several reasons for this. Visa problems and efforts to get extensions have not worked out. In addition, my age is catching up with me. This work needs younger seasoned brethren to make Mongolia a true mission area. I expect to be home by Nov. 16.

My love and appreciation to you all for your prayers and financial support.
